SPONSORS NEEDED

ALTAR GUILD and BREAD BAKERS – please notify Michelle ASAP if you are willing/not willing to continue on Altar Guild or as a Bread Baker. If I do NOT hear from you via email or phone I will assume you are willing to continue in your capacity. The new schedule is pending, but will be made up very soon. Thank you very much, Michelle Boesler

Your value to the Church of God is immeasurable. Everyone has special gifts that can be used for the praise of our Lord and in service to others. No task is unimportant, no skill unusable. You are able to serve in many ways that may not be apparent to you right now. Would you please take a few moments to explore some hidden possibilities, and help us find some hidden treasures? Please do not think that, if you are a person of many talents, you will be expected to share them all!!! We will try to match your talents, plus your available time, to the needs of St. Benjamin’s Church. We want you to enjoy serving the Lord!

Please see the church office for the sign up form.

This Year of Our Lord 2011 is The Year of the Volunteer as we celebrate our 250th anniversary! What a rich resource from our creator God our volunteerism has been and is! Our giving of ourselves and our time to the church and God’s work here has been and is the very life-blood of St. Benjamin’s.  To that end, in this year we are going to keep a volunteer log. It will be located in the fellowship hall near the mailboxes. Please enter in it every time you volunteer for church—as Sunday school teacher, acolyte, usher, office helper, altar guild, and so on.

At year’s end we are going to total up the number of hours and I think we’ll be astounded at the hours we serve our church and our Lord here at St. Benjamin’s!

Poinsettia Flower

The flowers will adorn our sanctuary Christmas Eve, December 24.

One dollar from each Poinsettia will accompany our December communion offering as a donation to The Arc of Carroll County.

The plants will be available for pick-up following the 10:00 pm Candlelight Christmas Eve Service.

The purchases of poinsettia(s) support a local business — Bowman’s Home & Garden, right here in Westminster.
